Product Description

Product Overview

The Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) Pass Box is a specialized transfer equipment engineered with a sealed door design for installation between cleanrooms and non-cleanrooms, or between zones of different cleanliness classifications.

By integrating a VHP sterilization system with an electronic interlocking mechanism, it utilizes the broad-spectrum decontamination properties of hydrogen peroxide to thoroughly disinfect transferred items. Simultaneously, the interlocked door system prevents cross-airflow, while its reinforced sealing structure maintains the required cleanliness and sterile environment on both sides during material transfer.

Product Features

  • High-Efficiency GMP Pass Box Sterilization: Employs vaporized technology to deliver broad-spectrum decontamination with high kill rates against bacterial spores and viruses, leaving minimal residue.

  • Dual Safety Protection: An electronic interlocking device ensures that both doors cannot be opened simultaneously. Opening one door instantly locks the opposite door, while real-time indicator lights display operational status.

  • Premium 304 Stainless Steel Construction: Crafted from high-grade 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish for exceptional corrosion and wear resistance. Smooth, coved (rounded) transitions between the doors and internal chamber eliminate sanitary dead spots, ensuring easy cleaning and maintenance.

  • Smart PLC Control: Sterilization cycle times and hydrogen peroxide concentration levels are fully adjustable. Built-in automated alarms alert users to abnormal operations (e.g., doors left unsealed or concentration anomalies), and an LCD screen displays real-time progress and status.

  • Reinforced Sealing Design: Specialized sealing gaskets combined with precision engineering minimize H2O2 gas leakage while stably maintaining differential air pressure across different cleanroom zones.

Working Principle

The VHP pass box relies on an electronic interlocking mechanism to ensure both doors remain mutually exclusive. Once items are loaded and the door is secured, the system automatically initiates the hydrogen peroxide decontamination program.

After completing the preset exposure phase, the system runs a catalytic aeration cycle to decompose residual gas. Only when decontamination is complete and chemical residues drop below safe exposure limits will the door on the receiving side unlock, enabling sterile material transfer and minimizing cross-contamination risks.

Application Scenarios

Suitable for highly sterile environments such as aseptic pharmaceutical workshops, biosafety laboratories, medical device sterilization centers, and vaccine production workshops. Equipped with high-efficiency sterilization and interlock functions, it enables safe transfer of materials between clean zones of different classifications and eliminates cross-contamination.

FAQ Section

1.How long does a typical VHP pass box cycle take?

A standard VHP bio-decontamination cycle typically takes between 45 to 120 minutes, depending on the size of the load, internal chamber volume, and environmental conditions (temperature and humidity). The complete cycle consists of four distinct phases: Dehumidification, VHP Injection/Conditioning, Decontamination (Dwelling), and Aeration. Our advanced aeration systems are engineered to rapidly break down residual H2O2 gas, significantly shortening the total cycle time while ensuring maximum operator safety.

2. What is the difference between VHP Pass Box and UV Pass Box?

The primary difference lies in the sterilization method, coverage, and efficacy level:

  • VHP Pass Box: Utilizes Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide gas, which diffuses evenly throughout the entire chamber. It penetrates complex equipment shapes and hidden corners, leaving no blind spots. It guarantees a 10⁶  Log sporicidal reduction (high-level bio-decontamination) and is mandatory for critical aseptic transfers (e.g., Grade A/B cleanrooms or BSL-3/BSL-4 labs).

  • UV Pass Box: Relies on Ultraviolet light for surface sterilization. UV light is directional and suffers from a "shadow effect"—any area not directly exposed to the light beam remains unsterilized. It provides a lower microbial kill rate and is generally only suitable for lower-grade cleanroom transfers.

3. Does it require an external ventilation pipe?

INot necessarily. Our modern VHP pass boxes are designed with an integrated catalytic converter system. During the final aeration phase, this system actively breaks down the

residual H2O2 gas into harmless water vapor and oxygen (HgO and O2), allowing the air to be safely released back into the room without external venting. However,if your facility's strict HVAC protocols or local regulations require direct external exhaust, we can easily customize the unit with a dedicated exhaust flange to connect directly to your building's ventilation system.
